Chip tag (Glossary of Printed Electronic terms)
A chip tag is one that has a silicon chip in it. For highest volume use, companies such as Unilever and Hitachi and informed observers such as EPCglobal Japan have forecast that chip RFID tags will be replaced with chipless ones, most likely printed.
