Apply now for the IDTechEx Printed Electronics USA 2008 awards
The IDTechEx Printed Electronics Awards recognize company innovation, success and development. The award ceremony will be held at the industry's largest gathering - Printed Electronics USA in San Jose, December 3-4, bringing together companies from around the world. This is your chance for your company to be recognized for outstanding achievements. Any company operating within the printed or partially printed, organic or thin film electronics market is welcome to apply.
 
Companies can submit proposals for the following categories:
1. Technical Development Materials Award
2. Technical Development Manufacturing Award
3. Technical Development Device Award
4. Best New Product Development Award
5. Best Commercialization Award
6. Academic R&D Award
 
New this year is the academic R&D award. Universities and other academic institutions are encouraged to apply and/or can submit a poster to the event exhibition. The judging panel is made up of industry experts who will review and discuss the submissions. The judges are
 
1. Prof. Ghassan Jabbour, Arizona State University, USA
2. Prof. Karl Leo, Institut fuer Angewandte Photophysik, Germany
3. Dr Peter Harrop, IDTechEx, UK
4. Dr Bruce Kahn, Printed Electronics Consulting, USA

The awards ceremony will be held at the IDTechEx Printed Electronics USA 2008 dinner on the evening of December 3rd, in San Jose, at the Tech Museum showcasing the largest Leonardo da Vinci exhibition ever held in America. With major exhibits on loan from the Italian Government the exhibition showcases the genius of da Vinci from The Vitruvian Man to The Flying Machine.
 
While the conference focuses on the new era of printed electronics products, the evening also looks five hundred years into the past and we see how theory became fact - changing our world. There is no better metaphor for printed electronics.
