Takao Someya Group is a new research laboratory, which started from May 1st 2003 when Associate Prof. Someya moved from Komaba Research Campus to the main campus of the University of Tokyo. The group affiliates with Department of Applied Physics and Quantum Phase electronics Center, School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo. Their research activities focus on organic thin-film transistors and their application to flexible, large-area electronics. In particular, they are intensively studying area sensors based on organic transistors, which include electronic artificial skins.
