“I congratulate IDTechEx for managing to offer the tour
option, because I am sure that it could not have been easy to convince the
Japanese to open their doors as willingly as they did. I find the meetings that
you put together, both for their technical content and the networking
opportunities, to be precisely what I am looking for: a quick update on what is
going on at the leading edge of a very rapidly growing field.“

ABOUT THE EVENT
East
Asia′s largest event dedicated to printed electronics, with emphasis on organic
and printed inorganic electronics, draws executive level delegates from East
Asia′s biggest printing, materials, packaging and electronics companies.
If you want to learn what is happening on this topic in East Asia and to meet
the companies doing ground breaking work and commercialization, this event is unmissable. Hosted by IDTechEx, we also provide tours to key players in Tokyo
and facilitate introductions. Our conference program, exhibition, tours and
masterclasses give you key insight into activities in East Asia so you can get
ahead of your competition.
This exclusive event is open to 100 delegates from European and American companies only, with an unlimited number of Asian companies attending. You get maximum value and the edge over your competitors by obtaining unprecedented access to the latest developments in Asia. For example, more patents are filed in Japan on printed electronics than any other country - learn by whom and meet the companies involved.
EVENT AGENDA
Over 35 international speakers at Printed Electronics Asia will present on the following, with simulatenous Japanese-English translation provided:
Applications and Markets — including displays, healthcare, automotive, RFID, PV and other sectors |
|
Uniquely, this event covers the big picture, including organics, inorganics and composites, and those that are printed or potentially printed, creating a $300 Billion market in 2028. Hear from users and potential users about the full range of applications and their needs. Hear from companies that have already commercialized the technology and how they have done it. Learn from analysts presenting the full opportunity. |
|
Thin Film Transistor Circuits (TFTCs) - logic and memory |
|
The largest segment of the printed electronics market will be printed transistors and memory. They will drive lighting, displays, signage, electronic products, medical disposables, smart packaging, smart labels and much more besides. The chemical, plastics, printing, electronics and other industries are cooperating to make it happen. Already, 360 organizations are developing printed transistors and memory, with first products being sold in 2008. Commercial breakthroughs and latest progress will be covered here |
|
Displays (OLED, electrophoretic, electrochromic, electroluminescent...) |
|
In 2008 the market for OLED front planes is already over $800 Million. E-Paper books are widely available from at least 8 companies now and flexible ones are emerging at the end of the year. Electroluminescent displays are being used in 50 meter posters already, while ultra low cost electrochromic displays will be used shortly on smart cards. Learn about all these technologies from leading companies. |
|
Lighting, Sensors, Actuators |
|
From laminar printed speakers to conformal flexible lighting - hear from companies leading this sector. |
|
Power (Photovoltaics, batteries and fuel cells) |
|
Both printed photovoltaics and batteries have reached a technological "tipping point". There are a number of companies involved in using printing, or printing like processes to manufacture batteries and photovoltaics. NanoSolar has announced the building of a large scale plant to begin producing photovoltaic cells using a printing type process. Konarka is also a leader in the production of photovoltaic cells on flexible materials, and have also recently announced some major scale-ups. Power Paper, Enfucell, Thin Battery Technology and others are printing batteries. Clearly, the time is right for printed photovoltaics and batteries. This session describes the technology used for printed photovoltaic cells and batteries, including device structures. Hear from the World's leading companies, including an analysis of the market for PV and batteries. |
|
Materials and Manufacturing (Printing and non printing technologies) |
|
From inkjet to gravure printing, and organic to inorganic printed materials, learn the latest developments here. |
This is your chance to meet, learn from and forge new relationships with your counterparts in East Asia.
